Effective Technologies Inc. (“Effect-Tech”) takes privacy seriously and this policy sets out our privacy practices, explains how we handle the information we collect when you visit and use the Effect-Tech website, through Effect-Tech software and services, through Effect-Tech software modules, through email that Effect-Tech sends you, and through other means offered and controlled by Effect-Tech (collectively the “Services”). When you use Services, and/or provide Personal Information to Effect-Tech through the Services, you agree and are consenting to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure, and other uses of your information as set out in this Privacy Policy. Additionally, your use of certain Services may be governed by separate terms and conditions entered into between Effect-Tech and your or the organization for which you work. Those terms and conditions may authorize different practices than those described in this Privacy Policy. Therefore, please refer to all applicable terms and conditions that govern your use of the Services. Privacy is important so please read this carefully.
What do we mean by Personal Information?
In this Policy, "Personal Information" means information or an information set that identifies or could be used by or on behalf of Effect-Tech to identify an individual. Except as described in this Policy, Effect-Tech will not give, sell, rent or loan any Personal Information to any third party. Examples of Personal Information include:

How Do We Collect, Use and Share Your Personal Information and Other Information?
Information You Provide to Us
We and our service providers may collect Personal Information from you in a variety of ways. You may provide Effect-Tech with your Personal Information when you create an account on any Effect-Tech website, register your software, download a software update, register for support, sign up for Services, register for a seminar, send us information for troubleshooting or other analysis, purchase software, participate in a survey or other promotional activities, or solicit communication from Effect-Tech. We may also receive your Personal Information from other online and offline sources, such as public databases, joint marketing partners, social media platforms, conference hosts, event companies, and other third parties. If you log in to any of our services using your social media login credentials (e.g., Google+), we may receive Personal Information as determined by the privacy settings of the applicable social media platform. You may refuse to supply Personal Information when doing any of the foregoing, with the understanding that this may prevent you from engaging in certain activities or using certain products or services.

Effect-Tech uses Personal Information for various purposes, including to help us deliver the highest possible level of customer service. For example, we may use Personal Information:

- To provide you with our products or services, including software updates.
- To allow you to sign up for and manage an account so that you can, among other things, participate in our online communities or submit and track a support case.

How We May Disclose Personal Information.
Effect-Tech may disclose your Personal Information:
- To our third-party service providers, vendors, and strategic partners who we engage to provide services such as data hosting, data analysis, order fulfillment, delivery of products or services, management and enhancement of user data, infrastructure provision, IT services, customer service, email delivery services, auditing services, and other similar services, to enable such third parties to provide those services.
- To third parties, including our strategic partners and resellers, to permit them to assess your interest in Effect-Tech’s products and services, to conduct user research and surveys, or to send you their own marketing communications in accordance with your communication preferences.
- When you choose to post information or materials on message boards, chats, profile pages, wikis, blogs, and other areas within the Services. Please note that any information you post or disclose through these services may be available to visitors to those services and to the general public. Log Files
As is true with most websites, Effect-Tech gathers certain information automatically and stores it in log files. This information includes internet protocol addresses as well as browser, internet service provider, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and click stream data. Occasionally, we may connect Personal Information to information gathered in our log files, as necessary to improve the Service for individual customers. Otherwise, we generally use this information as we would any Usage Data, to analyze trends, administer and maintain the Service, or track usage of various features within the Service.
Cookies
A "cookie" is a small software file stored temporarily or placed on your computer's hard drive. The main purpose of a cookie is to allow a web server to identify your computer and web browser, and tailor web pages and/or login information to your preferences. Cookies help us promptly display the information you need to use the capabilities of the Services and other information which we consider to be of interest to you. Cookies don't give us access to users' computers, and the information we collect through cookies doesn't include Personal Information.

Essential Cookies. Essential cookies are those that are critical to the functionality of the Services. We use these cookies to keep a user logged into the Service and remember relevant information when the user returns to the Service.
Analytics/Performance Cookies. Analytics Cookies track user behavior on our Services by counting the number of visitors to our Services and tracking how visitors move around our Services. This helps us improve the Services' content and your experience on our Services. These Cookies include content optimization (A/B testing) Cookies. Web Beacons
We may also employ web beacons (also known as pixel tags and clear GIFs) to help us better manage content in the Services by informing us what content is effective. Web beacons are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of internet users. Unlike cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, web beacons are embedded invisibly on websites. We tie the information gathered by web beacons to Personal Information we otherwise collect, and use and store certain types of information whenever you interact with our Services and emails in order to improve their performance, distinguish you from other users of our Services, and enhance your user experience when you use our Services. Other Information
In addition to the purposes described above, we disclose Personal Information to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. We may also share such information if we believe it is necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our End User License Agreement, other terms and conditions established by Effect-Tech, or as otherwise required by law.
Effect-Tech also collects information that does not reveal your specific identity and does not directly relate to an individual (“Other Information”). Please note that we may use and disclose Other Information for any purpose, except where we are required to treat Other Information as Personal Information under applicable law, in which case we will use it for all the purposes for which we use and disclose Personal Information described above. In some instances, we may combine Other Information with Personal Information (such as combining your name with your geographical location). If we do, we will treat the combined information as Personal Information as long as it is combined. Examples of such Other Information, and Effect-Tech’s collection, use, and disclosure of same, include:
Aggregated Personal Information. Aggregated Personal Information does not personally identify you or any other user of the Services. We may use and share aggregated Personal Information for any purpose (for example, we may aggregate Personal Information to calculate the percentage of our users who have a particular telephone area code).
Device Information. Certain technical information is collected from the computer, device, or browser that you use to access the Services, such as your Media Access Control (MAC) address, computer type (Windows or Macintosh), screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, Internet browser type and version, and the name and version of the Service you are using. We use this information to ensure that the Services are functioning properly, to determine whether you might benefit from a newer version of Effect-Tech software, for troubleshooting, to improve our products and services, to analyze trends, and to understand our users.
Usage Data. Personal Information does not include "Usage Data" which we define as encoded or anonymized information or aggregated data we collect about a group or category of services, features or users which does not contain personally identifying information Usage Data helps us understand trends in usage of the Service so that we can better consider new features or otherwise tailor the Services. In addition to collecting and using Usage Data ourselves, we may share Usage Data with third parties, including our customers, partners and service providers, for various purposes, including to help us better understand our customers' needs and improve the Service as well as for advertising and marketing purposes. We do not share Usage Data with third parties in a way that would enable them to identify you personally.
IP Addresses. Your IP address is a number that is assigned to the computer that you use to access the Internet. We automatically log IP addresses in our server log files whenever you use the Services, along with the time of your visit and the page(s) that you visited. Effect-Tech uses IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the services, track user movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use and to comply with applicable laws.
Physical Location. On mobile devices that enable location-based services, we may collect the physical location of your device (determined by GPS or other signals) through your device’s operating system if you consent to us doing so. We may use this information to provide you with personalized location-based services and content. You can restrict our access to your device’s location by managing the location-based service preferences on your device.

The Service contains links to other websites and web applications that are not owned or controlled by Effect-Tech Please be aware that we do not determine and we are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave the Effect-Tech website and/or Services, and read the terms of service and privacy statements of other websites and web applications linked to the Services. This Policy applies only to information collected by the Services.
Protection of Information
Effect-Tech is committed to ensuring the security of your Personal Information. We utilize precautions to protect the confidentiality and security of the Personal Information within the Services, by employing technological, physical and administrative security safeguards, such as firewalls and other security procedures. For example, when you enter sensitive information (such as login credentials and all your activity on our Service platform) we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). These technologies, procedures and other measures are used in an effort to ensure that your data is safe, secure, and only available to you and to those you authorized to access your data. However, the security of information transmitted through the Internet can never be guaranteed. Effect-Tech is not responsible for any interception or interruption of any communications through the Internet or for changes to or losses of data. Users of our Services are responsible for maintaining the security of any password, user ID, or other form of authentication involved in obtaining access to password protected or secure areas of any Effect-Tech Services. Choice
If you are an Effect-Tech customer and would like to opt-out of getting marketing communications from Effect-Tech please contact us at support@Effect-Tech.com or follow the unsubscribe instructions included in each marketing email. Please note that if you are a trial or paying customer, you cannot opt out of service and system generated emails.
Correcting and Updating Your Information
Customers may update or change the Personal Information they have provided Effect-Tech by logging into the Service and providing such additional information where applicable. If you are our customer and would like to gain access to, or request deletion of information we have collected as "data controllers," please contact us at support@Effect-Tech.com.
Data Retention
Effect-Tech will retain Personal Information we process on behalf of our customers for as long as needed to provide Services to our customers, subject to our compliance with this Policy. We may further retain and use this Personal Information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Use of Services by Minors
